Our school’s Chaplaincy Team has been reorganised this academic yearIt is comprised of two groups: the Worship Group, which is responsible for putting together Acts of Worship for whole-school and other groups throughout the year; and the Community Group, which is responsible for monitoring class RE displays, running Bible Journaling Groups and showing visitors around.

As a school, we challenged ourselves to raise money for the local (Leicester Ukraine Church) Ukrainian Centre. All pupils did a sponsored walk during the Pentecost term, 2022 and collected the amazing amount of £2,300.00, which Mrs. White (Head Teacher) and Mrs. Connor (Lay Chaplain) handed over to volunteers at the Centre in The Advent Term of this academic year.

Our school’s Eco Team was awarded the ECO Flag following a year of input that included litter picking, recycling lots of items, including crisp packets for a local charity and reducing the amount of waste we, as a school, produce.

This academic year we hope to build on the work done so far and include reducing the amount of energy we use as a school.  Pupils from EYFS and KS1 have joined the new ECO Team, too.

Our next two ventures are to have pop-up shops for exchanging summer clothes pupils have outgrown and looking at the possibility of reusing our school pond.

St. Peter’s Whole-School Prayer

Dear God,

We want to be good followers of you in the way we behave. Please help us to:-

Share our things and share our love with everyone in our school;

Take care of each other;

Persevere with our learning and all that we do;

Encourage each other to be the best that we can be;

Treat everyone how we wish to be treated;

Endeavour to live by the Word of God;

Respect one another and the world we live in.

When we live in community we will spread your Gospel message and grow in faith together. Bless us in our efforts.  Amen.
