Our aspiration for scientists at St Peter’s
At St Peter’s we aim to enthuse and inspire our children to develop a lifelong interest and love of science. We want them to be full of awe and wonder about the amazing world we live in and recognise how science impacts every aspect of daily life. Our science curriculum aims to develop the natural curiosity of each child through hands-on enquiry based learning. It aims to increase pupils’ knowledge of our world, and improve the children’s ability to question and develop their own theories through practical investigations and various methods of enquiry. It encourages them to have respect for living organisms, and highlights importance of caring for the natural environment and understand that without science humankind would not have made progress throughout history.
